The Recession - The Good News For Small Business.by Stefan Töpfer on Dec 03, 2008
Yesterday the US confirmed that it has been in a recession for 12 months now. So everybody is in recession right now. What is the good news about that you may ask? If you look at the graph above you can see the length of the recessions since 1929. Given that we are already in a 12 months recession, which is longer than most of the recessions we had since 1929, we could come out of it rather sooner than later. I guess the only worry has to be that this recession turns into a depression, then we could be in it for much longer. Let’s be optimistic about this, it’s a recession - not a depression. — ST.
