WHY For Small Business, Home Business, Start-Up and You.

by Stefan Töpfer on Sep 03, 2007

A few month ago I found this great online magazineWHY” which stands for “Work-Home-You” - it deals with great small business, home office and start-up issues. You should have a look at it, sign up for it free and read it regularly.

It is full of business ideas and great stories - in this current issue Dina & Lucille (the editors) report about Captain (Ret.) Dawn Halfaker, wounded in Iraq, starts her own security services firm - it is inspiring.

Disclosure: I love the magazine so much that WinWeb sponsored it for this issue.

Great link. I am always looking for good resources and the “WHY” articles are the perfect length for the busy business owner.

I enjoyed the timely reminder to check my phone message and also the article on finding energy sources at home.

I’m reading “The E-Myth Revisited” by Michael Gerber at the moment.

Rightly or wrongly, I think that book says that it’s not possible to have a one-man or one-woman business without getting totally bogged down.

I’m not so sure - and have a good mind to write a book myself in defence of the one-man or one-woman business. Will think on that and possibly look for contributors to talk to, if I decide to go ahead.

    Stefan - enjoy your holiday.

    Hi Emily,

I think he is obviously wrong about that every business needs to grow. He clearly has an agenda - franchising - that is why I guess. I like his Technician, Manager and I thing Entrepreneur analogy - I think that makes a lot of sense in a way.

I got a few more books you should try, I’ll send you my list when I get back home.

I better get back to my “holiday”, otherwise my wife is going to get upset with me. ;-)

    - Stefan
