Work-Life Balance Is Shifting!




Anita Campbell has an article on “The Blurring Line Between Business and Leisure“, based on research by AT&T. And she has this question for us all:

“…….does it add to our sense of balancing life and work to be able to mix business and pleasure into each day? Or does it just mean that business is encroaching ever more deeply into our personal time?”

I would think we all choose what the answer is here, and that in my opinion is an advantage. What do you think? ST.

    Now that I’m working for myself I think work and pleasure have to mix. If I’m not busy one day then I don’t see a problem in taking the day off. When I get back there might be work waiting which I can do in the evening. In fact the other week it was quite beneficial. It was a Friday and I worked til 2pm and then went to meet my mate for a pint. While in the pub a person I know who is moving house asked me if I could take his computer apart for the move and reassemble it at his new place. The bonus part was that he bought me a couple of pints too. That sort of mix between business and pleasure is one that works for me.

    Hi Phil,

    I agree, why do we need choose, everyone will have their own balance, depending on circumstances.

    The flexibility is what counts.
