India Small Business News Round-up – 04/12/2008

Here is this week’s news round-up for home business, micro business, sole-traders, freelancers, self-employed and any one who is interested in small business news from India:

  • NBFC prefer sitting on funds to lending: Many NBFCs are still sitting on large amounts of cash and yet not funding businesses and borrowings, mainly the SMEs, because NBFCs are not sure if the money lent now will ever be repaid.

Small business is most venerable during times of recession and credit crunch, receiving affordable support is essential if these small businesses are to survive in this harsh economic environment.
  • Sever tailored to midsize businesses launched: As part of its efforts to enable small and medium businesses (SMB) through increased investments in the SMB space, Microsoft India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday announced the availability of Windows Small Business Server 2008 (SBS2008) and Windows Essential Business Server 2008 (EBS2008).
